Hotels

There are a variety of hotels in Honiara and information on the ones our guests most often stay in is below.

Bilikiki Cruises will provide transfers from the airport to your hotel if you are arriving within 3 nights of the trip. We will also provide transfers on the day of the trip from your hotel to the Bilikiki for boarding at 4pm. If you are arriving the day of the trip Bilikiki Cruises will transfer you from the airport to the ship.

There are four main hotels in Honiara, the Heritage Park, the Mendana, the Coral Sea Resort and the King Solomon. The Heritage Park is a modern, centrally located hotel and Honiara's only 4 star hotel, it has a good restaurant and is easy walking distance to the other cafes. The Coral Sea Resort is the newest hotel in Honiara and another good option but it is located a little further out of the town centre. The Mendana is right next door to the Heritage Park and has a good Japanese restuarant. The King Solomon is a more moderately priced hotel but still good quality, it is located two streets back from the town centre so still close to most things.

Please note, the Seaview East and Executive rooms at the Mendana are much nicer than the other rooms in the older part of the hotel.

The restaurants in the main hotels are all good options. The Breakwater Cafe is between the Heritage Park and Mendana and a great place for breakfast, lunch and coffee. In the same area is Palm Sugar which is a favourite for locals and has lots of options.

It is normally most straight forward to book these hotels directly or via sites such as www.booking.com.
