After 8 days of visiting the beautiful islands of the Solomons, Bilikiki has returned to Honiara with 19 happy guests from A1 Scuba.
Once again, we were blessed with very nice weather, pleasant currents and wonderful dives. Our trip took us to the Russell Islands, where a multitude of fish greeted us on every dive. We saw quite a number of sharks, which curiously came to have a look at us, as well as eagle rays gliding past us in the blue. Together with huge schools of big eye jacks and rainbow runners, mixed together with tons of fusiliers - we didn't know where to look first! Critter lovers also had a blast with shy cuttlefish, different nudibranchs, signal gobies, jawfish, spearing mantis shrimp and juvenile pinnate batfish among the ever popular favourites.
Our guests especially enjoyed the village visit in Karumolun, where we were treated to the local singing and dancing before everyone joined in to do some dancing to the incredible panpipe music with the villagers - what a blast!
We would like to thank Lynn Taylor and all her guests for visiting the Solomons with us, and a special thank you goes to Bill, who dived like a trooper at 86 years old!
As always, we could not have done this without the constant hard work of our amazing Bilikiki crew, so tagio tumas to them as well!
See you next time,
Happy Bubbles
