Bilikiki is back from another 10-day trip!
This trip, however, instead of being focused on the diving was more oriented to watching whales and dolphins around some of the islands within the Solomon Islands.
The trip was lead by Dr. Charles Anderson and he brought with him 17 guests from from different parts of the UK and Australia.
Even though we were mainly focused on whales and dolphins, we also did some snorkeling and diving in beautiful locations. Two snorkeling sites that stood up as unforgettable were the island of Kohulite, in the Western province, and Karumolun Reef in Central.
During this trip we were very lucky to have beautiful encounters with spinner, bottlenose and spotted dolphins but also saw Bryden's whale, a couple of beaked whales, probably one Eden's whales, orcas, dwarf sperm whales and even a shy - and elusive - Omura's whale.
We also have to mention the incredible, unforgettable afternoon with a pod of false killer whales that played with us for almost three hours! We will all remember that afternoon for some time, that's for sure!
There were also village visits, for carving markets and traditional singing and dancing, and of course the floating markets! We had so much fun!
Once more, we would like to thank our guests and Dr. Charles Anderson for choosing the Bilikiki to spend their holidays.
We would also like to thank our fabulous crew for their continuous hard work and for being there for all of us, helping us to spot whales and dolphins and a specially big thank you to our three captains who were just amazing!!!
Until we see you all again, Happy bubbles!
