Trip Report - September 16-26, 2024
Bilikiki is back in Honiara from another 10 days trip around the Central and Western Provinces! After the medical mission, being back in the water felt really good, and the seas and weather were very generous with us! It was not the first time onboard for some our guests (thanks for coming back!) and for those who decided to join us for the first time, the trip was truly a delight too.
We witnessed, as always, a great variety of marine life. There was something for everyone: from big fish (mantas, Napoleon wrasses, tunas, sharks and the other usuals such as barracuda and big eye jacks) to small critters (sea horses, nudis, crabs, octopus, cuttlefish and a not so small stone fish, again!). And of course we got, during our trip, different underwater landscapes to suit all tastes - sea mountains, reefs, slopes, walls, second world war wrecks, mangroves, muck, caves etc etc.
The afternoon carving market we did in Peava was a beautiful experience for all of our guests (what a shopping spree!!!) and the village visit for traditional dancing and singing in Olevugu was a great way of learning about and enjoying a bit more the Solomon Islands' culture.
Thank you so much everyone for joining us on this trip, it was really nice meeting you all and having you onboard.
And last, but definitely not least, a huge THANK YOU to our crew for always being there for us, for their kindness and their hard work!
Happy bubbles.
