Bilikiki has just returned from a 7 day trip with guests all based in Colorado. What a lovely group of people! During our 6 diving days we had amazing diving conditions and so much life going on! We took our guests to dive our favourite coral reefs, slopes and wrecks and, as always, they fell in love with what they saw in the Solomon Islands!
While diving the Russells and the Floridas we got to see all our usuals, from big to small! Sharks, mobula and eagle rays, bumpheads, Napoleon wrasse, long jaw mackerels, wahoos, anemone fish, tunas, soft coral crabs, ornate & robust ghost pipefish, cuttlefish, octopus, spiny devil fish, cockatoo waspfish, velvet fish, sea horse, pygmy pipehorses, several beautiful nembrotha and miramira nudibranchs, and even a bobbit worm during the last night dive of the trip!
Special mention goes to "Jurassic" Mary Island since it was just spectacular, with its blue, clear waters and the massive schools of barracuda and bigeye jack, the baby grey reef sharks, the gilded triggerfish, the dart fishes, the dotty backs and the different species of angels and butterfly fish!
We also had great fun dancing "the jingle, jingle, jingle" with the locals at Karumolun village during the village visit and later at the floating market too!
During this trip two of our guests celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary! It was very cool to hear how they met and how they got married 50 years ago! Congratulations Maureen and Ray, we wish you many more years of adventures together!
Thanks Lynn and Scott for bringing such a nice and funny group to the Bilikiki, we hope we can see you again real soon!
And of course a big thank you to our amazing crew for their incredible hard work!
Happy Bubbles
