Bilikiki just came back from another great 10 day diving trip. Onboard this trip we had the legendary Cathy Church with guests from the UK, Philippines, Spain and the USA. We have had fantastic weather and been very blessed (again) with the marine life! This trip has been full of wonderful surprises!
When it comes to the “big fish life" we must mention the beautiful encounter we had with several bumphead parrot fishes in Mbulo Island on an early morning dive, and also the guitar shark we got to see at one of our favourite night dive spots.
We can't forget about the several eagle rays, the white tips, black tips and grey reef sharks, the barracudas, the barramundis, the long jaw mackerel, the wahoos, the big eye jacks, the rivers of fusiliers, sergeant majors and all the fish spawning going on! Also, it had been a long time since we saw our last salt water crocodile during a dive, so guests were really excited when they saw one!
When it comes to the macro life, we did it again: BOOM! We saw all our usuals, and even more! Ribbon eels, velvet ghost pipefish (on top of the ornates, halimeda and robusts), soft coral crabs, porcelain crabs, cuttlefish, octopuses, crocodile fish, cockatoo wasp fish, ringed pipefish, bentstick pipefish, disco clams and much more! Our guests were, once more, amazed by all the magnificent and pristine coral reefs we took them diving on, but also enjoyed the muckier dive sites too! And Kavachi! Wow! Its rumbling was sooooo loud! Everyone could feel the vibrations!
We also did serval carving markets where our guests could appreciate the amazing skills of the Western Province's carvers! What a display of talent!! Fresh floating markets were also very entertaining! Everyone loved to see how we get our fresh veggies and fruits! They are so colourful and the produce looks so goooood!
Thank you everyone for making this trip another good one to remember! We wish you all safe travels back home and hope to dive with you again!
A big thank you, of course, to our incredible crew for their continuous hard work, for taking such good care of us and for making the Bilikiki experience a wonderful one!
Happy bubbles!
